The Florida Department of Education released the findings of the state mandated validity study of its Florida Standards Assessment this morning. The study found the test to be reliable and it can be used to evaluate teachers and determine school grades. However, the report recommended that the test not be used for student level consequences, according to the Orlando Sentinel.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

The study said the data from FSA’s computer-based tests should not be the sole determinant of whether students are promoted or graduate. But the department said it already provides students other options — such as chances to take other exams or retake the FSA\u00a0 — if they struggle with the key state test , and those policies will continue.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
