The Senate is still in session but many bills are now dead. A special session will be called in order to pass a budget. Here&#8217;s more from the Florida School Boards Association&#8217;s Ruth Melton:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Florida House of Representatives adjourned, sine die, at about 1:30 pm today.\u00a0 Speaker Crisafulli\u00a0announced that the budget impasse over policies relating to the Low Income Pool and Medicaid expansion could not be resolved in a timely manner and there was no point in remaining in Session.\u00a0 By adjourning sine die, the Legislature will have to return in a Special Session later this year to craft a state budget.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Senate can still vote on\u00a0anything that the House has already passed. We are watching to see if bills relating to charter schools will be taken up by the Senate.
